NATO
NATO is an alliance of 19 countries from North America and Europe whose fundamental role is to safeguard the freedom and security of its member countries by political and military means. During the last 15 years, NATO has also played an increasingly important role in crisis management and peacekeeping on a global scale.
AVW-TELAV and Freeman took on the responsibility of producing the technical aspects of The North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) 49TH Annual Parliamentary Assembly, which was held in the North/South complex of the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando, FL.
Over 800 delegates were in attendance and the event was run by a diverse group of nationalities from all NATO countries. Reserved in tone by normal meeting industry standards, the NATO meetings required detailed attention to protocol respectful of each country’s standing. All rooms incorporated varied technical support, including simultaneous interpretation for seven languages, the Digimic Multi-Microphone Discussion System, and video projection.
Meticulous planning for all technical contingencies was essential as any deliveries required during the sessions were time consuming and tedious due to the required security procedures. Under the stewardship of the AVW-TELAV and Freeman Team the simultaneous interpretation, audio visual and show services aspects of this important event went flawlessly.
