I.S.T.S. - The Simultaneous Interpretation Specialists - was founded in 1959. The company expanded into the U.S. market in 1976, and continued to expand its services through various acquisitions. In 1992 I.S.T.S. became a division of TELAV Audio Visual Services, and with the merger between AVW and TELAV in 2001, I.S.T.S. became a division of AVW-TELAV Audio Visual Solutions.

Today I.S.T.S. has grown to become the largest supplier in North America of portable, semi-portable and permanent conference communications systems, including simultaneous interpretation, multi-microphone discussion and name handling systems.
